Meeting on information dissemination within «Mobility makes opportunity» project will take place in Lappeenranta
The final meeting within “Mobility makes opportunity” project is being held in Lappeenranta on 25 September 2018. The event is largely aimed at summing up the project activities and dissemination of findings and information collected in the course of its implementation.
The meeting started with opening words by Johannes Moisio, Head of Cooperation with Interest Groups, Regional Council of South Karelia (Finland) and Pavel Petrov, Expert of the Karelian resource Center of NGOs (Russia).
Mr. Moisio then briefly presented results of the project.
The project presentation was then followed by a presentation "Instruments of promotion of youth employment in the Republic of Karelia" made by Alexandra Kekkonen, PhD in Economics, Senior Researcher at Budget Monitoring Center of Petrozavodsk State University.
Each project partner who participated in preparation of articles for the digest on youth mobility and employment made a brief report on the situation in this field in their respective regions.
Ksenya Chumak, Deputy General Director of the Karelian Resource Center of NGOs, made a report on “Youth unemployment and creative industries: foundation for the new project“.
The meeting concluded with an extended discussion of the project partners on the possibilities of implementing future joint initiatives to further study the issues of unemployment and ways of overcoming the corresponding problems.
