Closing conference of the “ComUnYouth” project took place in Petrozavodsk, Russia on 21-22 September, 2017 The conference was attended by over a hundred participants, representing academic community, business circles, regional and municipal authorities, non-governmental organizations and the media.

Opening words made by Nikolay Oskin, Director General of Non-Commercial Partnership “Karelian Resource Centre of NGOs”, Olga Sokolova, Minister of Social Protection, Labour and Employment of the Republic of Karelia, Daniel Martsenyuk, Temporary Acting Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Petrozavodsk, and Rimma Ermolenko, Deputy Head of the Petrozavodsk City District, were followed by a brief plenary session where results of the project were presented.

Then the participants split into groups to take part in three sessions held in parallel:

  • Session 1. “Business and Youth Employment”
  • Session 2. “Social entrepreneurship for supporting youth”
  • Session 3. “Youth Career Guidance”

Results of the work in groups were summarized during the final plenary session.
