WP3 - Thematic seminars

Three thematic seminars related to work in TWG will be organized in the partner regions in order to facilitate exchange of knowledge and best-practice examples on combating youth unemployment with a special focus on cross-border peripheral areas. The seminars will be organized accordingly to the following themes and issues:

  • Seminar 1. The role of education in solving youth unemployment, Russia, April, 2016, 40 participants
  • Seminar 2. Business and creation of new working places in cross-border regions. Increase of sustainable entrepreneurship in cross-border areas, Russia, September, 2016, 40 participants
  • Seminar 3. Youth unemployment among social risk/vulnerable groups. Flow of information and cooperation of public agencies responsible for youth unemployment across the border, Estonia, December, 2016, 40 participants

A special youth forum of the project will be organized in Vilnius in June, 2016 where best-practice and next-practice examples on increasing youth employment will be presented.

Implemented activity in 2014:

  • Thematic seminar “Free movement of Labor in Cross-Border Regions – New possibilities and risks” was organized on December 15-18, 2014 in Hamar, Norway, by the partner from Hedmark County. Various experts in the field and representative of project partners participated in the seminar.
